Come and meet the team!

Veterinary Assistant
Syndle
I have 5 years of experience working with animals throughout school and college. I volunteered at a vet clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico and a wildlife rehabilitation center in middle school. During my gap year, I worked at a pet grooming facility as a bather.
I moved to St. Petersburg two years ago and I am a rising junior in college. I have been working as a technician assistant as well as a dog walker/pet sitter while obtaining a degree with two minors.
I have grown up loving animals of all kinds and I have two of my own; Snoopy a 4 year old American corgi and Mango a 3 year old orange tabby rescued from Puerto Rico. They are the center of my world and I am so grateful that I can provide them with excellent care here at our clinic. I love to meet and help everyone’s fur babies, it makes each day unique and meaningful.

Veterinary Technician
Anna
I have worked in the veterinary field for the past 7 years, gaining hands-on experience in patient care, nursing support, and client education. Throughout my career, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the balance of medicine, compassion, and advocacy that veterinary medicine requires. I’m passionate about providing thoughtful, attentive care to every patient, supporting pet owners through both routine visits and difficult moments, and continually learning to grow as a veterinary professional.
Outside of work, my life revolves around my animals. I share my home with two cats, Cheeky and Casper, and my tripod golden retriever, Fig, who is my constant adventure companion. Fig especially loves trips to the beach, where we spend time playing fetch and enjoying the outdoors. When I’m not with my pets, I enjoy curling up with a good book and unwinding with reading whenever I get the chance.

Customer Service
Amber
With 14 years of experience in veterinary medicine, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside the field. I started my career as a veterinary technician, eventually becoming a practice manager, and now I’m focused on customer care. My journey has been all about supporting pet owners and their furry companions, and I truly believe that animals are more than just pets—they’re family.
In 2022, I made the big move from Richmond, Virginia, to Madeira Beach with my husband, David and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lainey. I’m passionate about building relationships with clients and helping them navigate the joys and challenges of pet care.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy exploring beach life with David and Lainey, connecting with clients, and continuing to grow within the veterinary field.

Certified
Veterinary Technician
Marissa

With 13 years of experience in veterinary medicine, I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with a special passion for brachycephalic (“smooshy-faced”) dogs and cats. I love caring for all animals, but I have a particular soft spot for senior pets and those who are uniquely different—whether they have three legs, one eye, or none at all.
What motivates me most in this field is the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients and provide meaningful education, all while ensuring each patient has the best experience possible during their visit.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two young children. As a family, we love traveling, exploring the outdoors, and creating new memories together. At home, I care for our own little “zoo,” which includes two white Boxers—one of whom is deaf—a Siamese mix cat, and two red-footed tortoises. They keep life busy, but there’s nothing better than coming home to them each day.

Dr Amber Aher BVetMed

Veterinarian
I moved back to the Tampa Bay area after relocating with my husband for work. I grew up in Massachusetts and my interest in animals started with equestrian sports and working on a racehorse breeding farm.
I became qualified as a certified veterinary technician in 2004 and worked with small animals while completing my bachelor’s in animal science in 2006 at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. Before attending vet school, I volunteered with wildlife organizations and worked as a zookeeper.
I traveled to the UK to attend veterinary school for four years at the Royal Veterinary College in London, graduating in 2014. The RVC is the oldest veterinary school in the English-speaking world and it has a strong reputation for research, progressive veterinary care, and a high regard for animal welfare. It was a perfect fit for me.
As a veterinarian I have worked in general practice, emergency medicine and low-cost clinics. I’ve worked in private practices, large and small, and for corporations.
My passion is to help pets live their best life. In 2024 purchased the St Pete Beach Veterinary Clinic to carry on their mission of providing excellent service and to have the freedom to practice medicine the way I feel is best. In 2026 the practice was relocated off the beach to a medical facility in St Petersburg.
Thank you for your interest!
